1. When canned in brine, light tuna contains more fat and therefore more calories

One can contain 339 calories, which are made up of 14 g of fat and 49.8 g of protein. This 49.8 g of protein provides more than 100 percent of the recommended amount for women and 89 percent for men.


2. Along with the 14 g of fat, 2.6 g of which are saturated fat, one can of tuna canned in brine contains 31 mg of cholesterol.
